BIOPREPAREDNESS FOR LABORATORIANS

The Biopreparedness for Laboratorians course explores the preparation of our nation’s public health laboratories for a natural disaster or terrorism event. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)  have instituted the Laboratory Response Network (LRN) and through its guidance the public health laboratories on all levels have prepared to respond to disaster/terrorism events. The self-paced online course has three modules that detail these efforts: Module 1: Biosafety and Biosecurity, Module 2: Diagnosis of Biological Agents of Terrorism, and Module 3: Chemical Terrorism Preparedness in the Laboratory.
