|
The Biopreparedness for Laboratorians course explores the preparation of
our nation’s public health laboratories for a natural disaster or
terrorism event. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have instituted
the Laboratory Response Network (LRN) and through its guidance the
public health laboratories on all levels have prepared to respond to
disaster/terrorism events. The self-paced online course has three
modules that detail these efforts: Module 1: Biosafety and Biosecurity,
Module 2: Diagnosis of Biological Agents of Terrorism, and Module 3:
Chemical Terrorism Preparedness in the Laboratory. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Personnel in public health laboratories HOW TO REGISTER? Register via TRAIN NEED MORE INFORMATION? Contact Tony Sambol at 402-559-3032 or asambol@unmc.edu
