HOSPITAL DECONTAMINATION AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

In response to Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) expansion of biological, chemical, and radiological education into hospital settings, The Center for Biopreparedness Education offers a course teaching hospital decontamination teams the basics of decon. Using their own equipment, decon teams are trained to plan and practice decontamination of patients including the use of their decon tent and personal protection equipment. 

The Center for Biopreparedness Education has also developed a video to assist in training emergency response and hospital staff who may be called upon to respond to a chemical terrorism event involving children.
