EPIDEMIOLOGY Responding effectively to biological threats requires law enforcement and public health officials to work closely together. Joint training in investigative methods facilitates this collaboration. The Center for Preparedness Education offers a course in Forensic Epidemiology - the conducting of epidemiological investigations; public health responses in the setting of a crime scene; and methods of coordinating criminal investigation procedures with epidemiological, laboratory and other legal procedures.
