HOW BEST TO PROTECT: SHELTER IN PLACE OR EVACUATION PLANNING WORKSHOP

Floods...fires...chemical spills...active shooter...

Many hospitals have plans for How Best To Protect their patients in these situations.  This workshop will allow you and members of your facility and community to update and improve those plans.  While there are similarities between the response to floods, fire and workplace violence, plans should have different strategies to protect your staff and patients.  This workshop will help you develop or improve these strategies.

With a very knowledgeable faculty, in two days, we will teach participants about:

  • Threat assessment

  • Situational awareness

  • Sheltering in place

  • Evacuation

  • How to train your staff to respond
