CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, NUCLEAR and EXPLOSIVES EVENTS

 

 Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear, and high yield Explosives events are never off the radar in disasters preparedness. Sessions will be offered four consecutive months on the 2nd Thursday. Each webinar will provide an introduction to a particular agent or event specific to that month’s topic. Using active participation from all attendees, we will identify risks and response requirements as well as response challenges and strategies to aid in recovery.   

The platform we use for webinars – Blackboard Collaborate – allows us to incorporate participant activities and small group discussions for a richer webinar experience. The webinars are highly interactive and we encourage each participant to login on individual computers, not recommended for a group login. There are some system requirements with this webinar platform:

  • a computer that has both headset and microphone jacks or USB connection to accommodate a VOIP headset

  • a VOIP headset

The headsets are available at reasonable prices from Radio Shack, Best Buy, Walmart, Office Depot, Office Max, Amazon.com or similar outlets.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

New hospital ERC's, law enforcement, EMS or other individuals who need a basic overview of chemical agents.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Due to popular demand, this series is being repeated from the earlier 2011 sessions

All webinar sessions will begin at 10:00 AM CST, lasting 1 hour
