The modules were piloted in two multi-hospital regional disaster drills in the summer of 2003. The tool includes modules on assessing the incident command, decontamination, triage, and treatment zones during a hospital disaster drill. It also includes modules for: - pre-drill assessment The tool is available at the AHRQ website.

JOB ACTION SHEETS AND FORMS
Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) is an incident management system based on the Incident Command System (ICS). Implementing HICS helps hospitals improve their emergency management planning, response, and recovery capabilities. Using HICS also helps hospitals interface more effectively with community response agencies during a disaster.
These Job Action Sheets have been modified specifically for small and rural hospitals to reflect the unique resource challenges these facilities face.
